Very Reverend Father Petros Kipouros

Parish Priest and Confessor

The Very Reverend Father Petros Kipouros is our Parish Priest at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Canberra. He is fluent in both Greek and English and has been dedicated to our church since 2010. 

Father Petros is actively involved in various church activities, including Holy Confession, Baptisms, Funerals, and Weddings. He is known for his compassionate approach and commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all parishioners and all people from the greater Canberra community.

Father Petros is not only dedicated to his parish duties but also has a passion for traditional Greek dancing. He often joins in community events and celebrations, showcasing his impressive dance moves and spreading joy among the parishioners.

Father Petros also combines his spiritual vocation with a passion for photography, capturing the serene beauty of nature through his lens. His empathetic eye and artistic perspective offer a unique view into the sensitivities of the natural world. Father Petros has won prizes for his photography from National Geographic competitions and has had several photographic exhibitions and has published coffee table books of his acclaimed works.
